Holy Week and Easter

April 1^st Palm Sunday 10am

• A Service for all ages beginning in the Village Square, remembering Jesus’ arrival in Jerusalem.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday evenings, 7.30pm Holy Communion in the Chancel of Church

• Sitting among the sculptures of our current exhibition “Bald Statements,” we listen to music about loss, turning it over in our minds as we prepare for Communion. Brief reflections will be shared.

Maundy Thursday, 7.30pm Holy Communion

• recalling the last supper and remembering Jesus washing his disciples’ feet.

• After the service you are welcome to stay in church for the Watch reflecting on Jesus’ time in the Garden of Gethsemane.

Good Friday 2012

11.15 am Ecumenical Service at New Life Baptist Church

followed by a silent Walk of Witness along the High Street to the new Village Square. Everybody is welcome to join in.

Refreshments and Hot Cross buns will be served in All Saints Centre after the Walk

From Noon in All Saints Centre: Children’s Workshop making Easter Gardens.

1pm-3pm Two Hours at the Cross

• A service of readings, hymns and prayers with reflections by Nicola Slee.

8pm Evening Service at nightfall

• remembering the closing of Jesus’ tomb.

*

Easter Saturday 7.30pm Vigil Service

• remembering the story of redemption in the Hebrew Scriptures which prepared for the coming of Christ.

Easter Day 2012

6am Dawn Service in the Square followed by breakfast

8am Holy Communion

10am Holy Communion (with Easter egg hunt)
